While we assess investments across multiple industry verticals, our primary focus is on construction services and building materials. We believe that longstanding and accelerating trends across the East African region have created a wide range of opportunities for high impact and durable companies to be acquired, expanded, or created in this dynamic space. Given our collective experience, we also explore opportunities in agro-processing and healthcare.

Region

We are committed to East Africa and its people. From a foundation of supportive government policies and innovative citizens, the region has grown at an incredibly fast rate over many years. In conjunction with overall economic growth, a myriad of other indicators - a growing middle class, rapid urbanization, increases in literacy and education rates, and improvement in health outcomes - have combined to declare that the region is increasingly open for business.

CFL Africa Group was designed to have a high level of flexibility when it comes to the structure and types of investments we make. That said, our primary focus is on situations where we have control over the strategic and operational direction of the underlying company. We may acquire an existing operation or start the business from scratch, but in either situation we believe that our expertise and backgrounds are best utilized when we can play the lead role.
